What is Relaxation Spanking Therapy?
Relaxation Spanking Therapy is the type of play that uses endorphins (chemicals naturally produced by your own body) to relax and make you feel good. Some compare it to a massage or to the muscle quiverring a good workout can produce. Well-judged and spaced impact play can lead to a very pronounced release of endorphins known as the endorphins rush.
As the name Relaxation Spanking Therapy suggests it involves spanking (with hand or/and any other implement) as a means to an end – the relaxation of your mind and body.
This type of session is not meant to be harsh and challenging (althought it could be just that if you want!). Instead, the goal is to keep the experience and the severity within your limits, so that the struggle is minimal and the relaxation is greatly amplified. Certain severity is required to achieve the desired effect, though if you would like to take it slowly and gently that too can be arranged.
The key of this type of play is to balance the pain and pleasure aspects in favour of pleasure. Relaxation Spanking Therapy is not, however, a sexual experience. It is beyond sexual.
Successful Relaxation Spanking Therapy relies on combination of the following factors:
- Steady, well-paced and tailored impact play
- Deep and slow breathing
- Willingness to relax – both your mind and body
- Not keeping your muscles tense between strokes
- Safe surroundings and trust
- Comfortable position, like being bend over a spanking bench
- Your honesty and ability to convey your interests/expectations before we start
You do not have to be submissive to be benefit from this type of play. Relaxation Spanking Therapy is not about being dominated or humiliated. It is about the physical experience. Most of the people indulging in and enjoy relaxation spankings are not submissives at all. Majority of them are strong-minded people who spend their life in full control of themselves and have various responsibilities that modern life and/or their jobs throw upon them. Relaxation Spanking Therapy is a way to escape your stressful life for an hour or two (with relaxing and calming benefits usually lasting for weeks afterwards).
How does it work?
People who naturally tolerate pain better will need to take more to reach the endorphins rush than those with lower pain tolerance. The amount of impact play and severity, therefore, will depend on what you can take and will vary from person to person.
Generally, Relaxation Spanking Therapy involves slower than any other type of session impact play.
The basic principles are based on the fact that in the right, safe environment, impact play will readily cause your body to release endorphins. Released endorphins will increase your pain tolerance allowing you to take even more, leading to release of more endorphins and so on. And so on.
Depending on the person, it takes anything between 20-50minutes until the endorphins peak. Usually they will stay at a high level for a couple of hours as the play continues, but their amount will not increase indefinitely. At a certain point (often around 100-120minutes from the beginning of the play) your body will run out of the pre-produced endorphins it can release. Most people, therefore, will benefit from Relaxation Spanking Therapy sessions lasting for up to two hours (although I have played with people who, through regular play, trained their bodies to be able to go on for longer than that).
From experience, 90minute long sessions are ideal for Relaxation Spanking Therapy, but 1h or 2h also work fine.
What if I can’t take enough?
It is a common worry to have. But please be assure this is not a competition. Relaxing sessions are supposed to be relaxing, not to stress you out as you worry about performing up to a certain standard.
My only expectation is that you are willing to relax, and I will take care of the rest.
While it is true that for the best endorphins rush it is necessary to play on a certain level, play on any level will have relaxing properties, meaning it will release *some* endorphins. Wherever in your journey you are right now – whatever you can take – is enough for a highly enjoyable and relaxing session even if we can’t flood your body with endorphins to the max.
As the session progresses, and both your bottom and your mind warm up, you will most likely find yourself able to take more as you relax into the experience. This is why I often start Relaxation Spanking Therapy session slowly and with a gradual build up to help you ease into the sensation as “painlessly” as possible. If you are interested in more of an exiciting challenge, needing a harsher start, that can certainly be arranged. In such cases, the endorpins rush is likely to occur faster and possibly to a greater extend, but it does mean “putting up” with more pain to start with.
All Relaxation Spanking Therapy sessions are tailored to your circumstances.
What to expect?
If you decide to try a Relaxation Spanking Therapy session with me it will consists of three parts:
First of all, we will start with a chat to discuss your previous experience, limits and expectations. You are encouraged to say what it’s on your mind even if it feels embarrassing. Or maybe especially if it feels embarassing! Honesty is important for good communication – it leads to an even better session.
Next, we will start the Relaxation Spanking Therapy in one of the two possible ways – gradual/slow build up or mixed/harder strokes.
Gradual build up as the name suggest involves your bottom being gradually warmed up with my hand and/or various implements. It is largely irrelevant how much you can take as the session can be 100% adapted to your needs, so don’t worry about signing up for too much. As already mentioned – this is not a competition.
I have a selection of implements to cater for various tastes and needs, from light and soft floggers and paddles to heavy tawses and whips. Once your bottom is sufficiently warmed up, I will slowly progress with harder strokes, increasing the severity steadily until reaching the desired level.
Mixed/harder strokes approach involves, again as the name suggests, a mix of strokes of various severity. It can involve a harsher beginning to kick-start the endorphin flow. The rest of the session will consist of a mix of differently-paced strokes, entirely depending on your ability to cope with it. Varying the severity and speed will lead to endorphins being released in waves until reaching the peak.
Finally, once the play part of the session is over, it is important you take it easy. If possible, please plan your day accordingly and don’t jump straight into a whirlwheel of activity. Make sure to hydrate afterwards, just as if you had a massage.
Differences between Relaxation Spanking Therapy and a traditional CP session
Traditionally, a CP session is about a punishment, often with a roleplay scenario. Usually, it is harsher, faster and stricter, while Relaxation Spanking Therapy relies more on a steady approach in a non-punishing atmosphere.
Relaxation Spanking Therapy usally does not include a roleplay scenario as needing to focus and talk can unnecessary disturb your state of relaxation. There will be soft music playing in the background. You will be encouraged to try and relax your muscles (you will enjoy the endorphins rush more if you are not tensing purposefully) between the strokes, to breathe deeply and slowly, and to clear you mind of mundane problems.
From a beginner’s point of view, Relaxation Spanking Therapy session is a less scary and less nerve-wracking way to introduce yourself to fetish play.
Mixing different types of play
Depending on your experience, limits and interests, a session can include a mix of Relaxation Spanking Therapy and other forms of CP or BDSM play.
The following can be easily included in a Relaxation Spanking Therapy session: restraints, back/body whipping, blindfolds, gags, pinwheel etc.
If you would like to combine it with other activites/fetishes that I offer, my recommendation is to always start with CP/BDSM play and end with Relaxation Spanking Therapy.
Please don’t ask to try Relaxation Spanking Therapy for a couple of minutes. This will do nothing, and you won’t feel the right effect.
Will Relaxation Spanking Therapy work for everyone?
While there is no scientific proof that impact play can make us feel relaxed, those who have felt the benefits, don’t need any proofs. We just know! It feels fantastic, amazing and unique.
Will it work for everyone? Absolutely not. Relaxation Spanking Therapy (or any other type of fetish play for that matter) is not for everyone. But if you are curious enough to read this, I have a very strong suspicion it will work for YOU!
The only way to be absolutely sure how great Relaxation Spanking Therapy can make you feel is to give it a go. I don’t bite – I promise!
The science of endorphins
Pain leads to release of endorphins. It’s a fact. It is a protective mechanism that evolved in our bodies a long time and is stronger developed in some than others. The trick during Relaxation Spanking Therapy is to maximise the release of endorphins and minimise the pain to get the big high – that’s my job. For you, it is about having that special relationship with pain, which most people who like to indulge in fetish play already have.
NOTE: All the information provided here about endorphins is a simplified explanation. There is a strong scientific evidence that other chemicals produced by our bodies, dopamine, serotonine and others, work along endorphins to produce the desired effect.
